About Allison

Allison Janicki (she/her) graduated from Grand Valley State University with a BA in English literature and minors in studio art and psychology. After working in a public library for five years, she went on to receive the Professional Certificate in Editing from the University of Chicago, allowing her to dive headfirst into the world of editing and publishing.

Allison has worked for a traditional press, a book consulting company, and as a freelance editor and designer, allowing her to experience almost every facet of the publishing industry. A lifelong artist, her creative experience has allowed her to have a especially unique blend of organization and artistry when it comes to working with books. Her clients include Michigan State University, Page Street Publishing, She Writes Press, and Foreword Reviews. She also loves working with self-publishing authors.

In her free time, Allison enjoys vegetarian sushi, running (sometimes), and crocheting at home with her three cats.
